Once you've obtained the 4th tier class, you'll end up in Anise's Stockade, the long post-game dungeon. New to Trials of Mana is a post-game storyline featuring a familiar face if you are a series' veteran. Give it to Angela and never worry about MP again.Īnise the Witch - The post-game boss and Rewards for beating her This ability is nuts: 0 MP needed for any move in battle. If you manage to beat Black Rabite, you get the Obsidian Power Chain Ability. You might as well save it for last, honestly. You might as well hold off on battling it until you reach the post-game and unlock the 4th tier class for all your characters, else you are just handicapping yourself. While you can take on Black Rabite before you finish the main game in Trials of Mana, it doesn't go anywhere for post-game, and it's the highest level enemy in the game, including the post-game boss. Check out the Rabite statue, and you'll warp to near the Black Rabite. Go to the beginning of Cave of Darkness for Riesz or Hawkeye, the Jungle of Illusions for Kevin or Charlotte, or the Crystal Desert for Angela or Duran. At this point, you can return to the beginning of the final dungeon area, and you'll see a new Rabite statue near the landing points. The last two dungeon areas will change depending on who your main character is, but you'll know when you have cleared it as you'll soon be headed back to the Sanctuary of Mana to take out a new foe. In order to find Black Rabite, you first need to have cleared your character's final dungeons. While Black Rabite was only found in Angela or Duran's storyline in the original game, now all characters can take it on in the remake, so no sweat whoever you picked as your main. Black Rabite - The highest-level enemy in the game and its locationīlack Rabite was a super enemy found in the original Seiken Densetsu 3, and of course, it makes a return in the remake. The blue are added in from her worst class option… the magus. Here we describe the Black Rabite, Anise the Witch, and New Game Plus. The red is her original outfit (pictured above the bingo), which is apparently the outfit a magician from a cold country wears (even though it’s in magical spring, but it’s still described as cold). And you still maintained the shape language and color scheme, too, what an inspiration for our own future redesigns.Įarth-to-dragons submitted (and Icy bingo’d):Ĭould you guys cover something about Angela in the new Trials of Mana game? Ive been playing it but its honestly difficult just because every time I look at her outfits it makes less sense! Although I dont think Riesz is any better…Ī spell-caster lady in a video game who dresses for the beach? It’s more likely than you think! This is from the recent remake, where you would think the developers would want to modernize their designs. Well done! She definitely looks more like a magician now, and she won’t be freezing her buns off in her own house. Ohh, I absolutely love what you did with the shirt! I didn’t even notice those cuff things on her wrists until I looked at your redesign and saw that you turned them into a blouse. Like her pants?), but that’s really a minor nitpick. If there’s one thing I’d reconsider, it would be whether the inside of the cape’s color blends too much with her hair (maybe the lining should be dark Also a big fan of the tunic you designed for her from scratch. I really hope words can contain how impressive this redesign is, You brought out all the potential poor Angela had that Trials of Mana’s artists refused to take the advantage of! I especially like changing the butt cape into a regular cape while maintaining all the shapes where they belong. I kept the slim waist, because hey, it’s cute as hell, but I added a lovely skirt that mimicked the design of her hat and her cape, which was rightfully relocated to her shoulders. I think the biggest change I implemented for this design was her dress. It was so tiny on her original design, so I gave it a little growth spurt. I took a lot of inspiration from Alena from the Dragon Quest series with this design, especially with the hat. I wanted to keep a lot of that, but also cover up them lovely legs and put the cloak in it’s rightful place, making her seem more like a magician from a colder place, rather than an attractive swimsuit model. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at a redesign, and one of their newer posts caught my eye!Īngela, from the game Trials of Mana, has so many awesome motifs in her design, and she’s absolutely adorable. This is all fun and games folks, don’t get upsetti!Ī while back, reblogged my pink-overhaul doomguy illustration, and they’ve been on my radar ever since.
